The first FIBRE open workshop was held with great success in Salvador (Bahia, Brazil) on 26 - 27 November 2012.

This workshop was mostly aimed at building a community around Future Internet experimentation in Brazil.  In addition to the presentation of the outcomes of the project after its first year, the tentative agenda also included:

• Presentations from Future Internet driven initiatives worldwide.
• Round table with industry players and policy makers.
• Example of Future Internet Applications.
• Short courses / hands-on training.
• Poster/demo session in Experience and evidence (even if not developed on top of FIBRE or federated testbeds).
