The main objective of WP1 is to perform an efficient consortium management for ensuring effective and successful work in the FIBRE project as a whole. Both European and Brazilian Project Coordinators will manage the progress of the Project so that the overall project performed by the European and Brazilian partners meets its scientific and technological objectives within budget and in a timely manner. The management of each consortium (EU and BR) will be carried out by a Project Coordinator and will

concentrate on co-operation and communication between all project participants and both the European Commission (EC) and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development of Brazil (CNPq). The Project Coordinators will also represent the Consortium outside. The project Management will be responsible for legal, contractual, ethical, financial, all administrative aspects and management of the consortium's finances. This work package will provide financial and technical aspects together with monitoring of progress, quality control and certificate of financial statements.
